Driftwood Collective: Mediares + Elin Grace + Evie Moran

Mediares\nMediares is a new genre-bending collective based in Manchester, led by singer-songwriter Alwyn Jones. Their full nine-piece lineup combines emotionally charged, unvarnished folk with a gritty Americana bite. Their debut EP, heavily inspired by their folk roots, is set for release in 2026. On the 26th of February, they’ll perform a stripped back, folk leaning set with two vocalists, and a string section, in a reduced five-piece lineup.\n\nElin Grace\n‘Elin Grace is a 21-year-old singer-songwriter based in Manchester who crafts quirky, soulful indie-folk tracks. Characterised by her raw and honest storytelling, Elin’s lyrics detail her upbringing in the depths of the Welsh countryside; a country girl in the big city, addressing themes of girlhood, mental health and growing up. Tipped as ‘one to watch’ by BBC 6 Music, Elin is excited to share some of her recent work with the world on her upcoming EP.’\n\nEvie Moran\n‘Evie’s work is careful and considered, with some pieces taking years to come to fruition. With songs of dreams, love and nature, her music offers a meditative, reflective space – inviting listeners into moments of quiet introspection. After earning national praise for the tranquil acoustic atmosphere of her last single ‘Disconnected’, which gained support from BBC Radio 6 Music, Evie’s upcoming work delivers distinctively pure vocal emotion wrapped up in warm production, culminating in an elevation of her folk roots into a new atmospheric soundscape.\n\nHaving previously performed at Manchester International Festival, Sound City and Green Island Festival, Evie is set for a year of exciting live dates, debuting new music with her three-piece backing band while preparing for her first new release since 2022.’
